Location: Irvine, California (Hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 remote) 
Scope: U.S. entity and coordination with global finance operations 

Role 

Support Kardion’s accounting operations and financial reporting with accuracy, discipline, and accountability. 
The Senior Accountant ensures the integrity of financial data, executes an efficient month-end close, and supports compliance and audits as Kardion scales globally. 

Responsibilities 

Accounts Payable & Receivable 
Main Taks (high-level)
  • Process vendor invoices, payments, and employee reimbursements accurately and timely. 
  • Manage customer billing, collections, and cash applications. 
  • Reconcile A/P and A/R and maintain up-to-date vendor and customer records. 

Close & Reporting 

  • Prepare, analyze, and reconcile general ledger accounts for accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual results. 

  • Execute month-end and quarter-end closes, including journal entries, accruals, and variance analysis within defined timelines. 

  • Manage consolidation processes and intercompany reconciliations. 

  • Maintain balance sheet schedules and ensure completeness of supporting documentation. 

Compliance & Audit 

  • Support GAAP-compliant accounting and adherence to company policies. 
  • Prepare audit schedules and liaise with external auditors and advisors.
  • Manage or support all tax filings, including but not limited to federal, state, and local tax filings 
  • Maintain accounting policy and standard operating procedures (SOPs) documentation. 
  • Support implementation and maintenance of SOX control procedures

Budgeting & Forecasting 

  • Provide detailed financial data to support budgeting and forecasting. 

  • Monitor operating expenses and report budget-to-actual variances. 

  • Contribute to cost and margin analysis to improve operational efficiency. 

ERP System

  •  Support ERP configuration and data integrity across ERP modules. 
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to automation initiatives. 

Qualifications 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or CPA candidate preferred. 

  • Experience: 3–6 years of progressive corporate finance/accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, technology, or life science industries. 
Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accrual accounting. 
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (NetSuite or similar). 

  • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, and complex formulas).

  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and deadline-driven. 

  • Effective communicator with cross-functional collaboration skills. 

  • Demonstrated initiative and ownership in improving processes. 
Special information about the work environment
  • Willingness to work on-site and travel occasionally.
  • Occasional availability for early starts to overlap with CET time zone.

  • Travel: domestic/US travel up to ~10% at peak times, including international travel to Germany up to twice a year.
